50 30 Perfection

Woke to sun and put the 50mm gravel tires on the bike and went the wrong way around the lake (should be CW)… Anyway, probably the most scenic and fun ride on the gravel bike I’ve had in China. Empty roads, stunning lake mountain views, grasslands, and rolling single track. Good to chat with the locals on their Saturday walk around the lake.

Then switched to the road wheels and 30mm slick tire setup and cruised down to some yum noodles, a coffee, and then 50km to the hotel. Quiet, mellow G318 at this point, zero traffic, and river mountain scenery. Met a nice dude who’s cycling up 3500km from Zhuhai! Respect. Great day on the bike.
